“I love making people feel beautiful on the inside and out after leaving my chair.” Pamela D. Hogan

Pamela D. Hogan has always had a passion for style. A veteran hair stylist and internationally known expert beauty educator, Pamela has traveled the world teaching professionals and consumers the ins and outs of hair care and beauty in countries like the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Trinidad, Senegal, Barbados and the Bahamas. It was at the age of 15 that Pamela decided to pursue a lifetime career in cosmetology. Specializing in precision cutting, her artistic vision and impeccable attention to detail allows her to help clients decide on styles individualized to their needs.

Pamela currently serves as the research and development consultant for one of the largest multicultural hair care brands, Strength of Nature, the makers of African Pride, Beautiful Textures, Elasta QP, Mega Growth, Soft & Beautiful, Soft & Beautiful Botanicals, TCB and Proline Comb Thru lines. In her role as a consultant Pamela weighs in on product formulation and tests products before they hit retail shelves.

She is also trained in and has expanded upon healthy natural hair care techniques that silken the hair without using a relaxer, hair-coloring and designer cuts. Her work also extends to numerous award shows such as the Stellar Awards and Trendsetter Awards.

Pamela has styled many stars including: Lynn Whitfield, Raven Symone’, Kelly Price, Steve Harvey, Lisa Wu Hartwell, Michael Baisden, and Angela Bassett. Her styling techniques have been featured in Jet Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Black Sophisticated, Hype Hair Magazine, and Black Hair Magazine.

As a master of her craft, she keeps up with the latest techniques and hair trends as they appear on the fashion scene.   She is constantly working on her own innovative techniques and is always pushing the boundaries of hair.

In addition to beauty, Pamela also has a passion for community service. She aims to give back to young women by showing them how they can be independent while following their dreams. Pamela has contributed to benefit fashion shows for cancer patients along with The Nina J. Spicer Foundation, which is a mentoring program for youths and is registered with Gwinnett County Public School System.

In 2014, Pamela made the transition from lead stylist at the Xclusive Salon & Spa, which she owns, to teaching full-time as the Executive Director at the Georgia Institute of Cosmetology & Esthetics where she transforms students into beauty professionals.

Pamela says, “I’ve known from a very young age that beauty was my passion and desire, I’m blessed enough to have turned it into a career and now I’m helping others realize their dream as well.”
